WELCOMING VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
Zo & Willow is honoured to be the exclusive stockist of Vivienne Westwood bridal in Germany.
Vivienne Westwood's bridal collection is renowned for its rebellious elegance, a distinctive fusion of avant-garde design and traditional craftsmanship that creates dramatic, unconventional wedding attire for the modern bride. This are the values shared by us at Zo & Willow.
The core of Vivienne westwood — heritage corsetry
Corsets are a foundational element in Vivienne Westwood’s fashion legacy, symbolizing her daring approach to historical reference, femininity, and empowerment.
Notably, Westwood reimagined the corset from a symbol of patriarchal control to one of rebellion and empowerment, famously adopting the mantra that a “woman wearing a corset today is a symbol of empowerment, sexual freedom, and control. She’s the one holding the laces, the one constructing her own femininity.”.
In Vivienne Westwood’s bridal line, corsetry continues to play a central role. Bridal gowns often include expertly constructed corsets that highlight dramatic silhouettes and provide structured, sculptural forms, drawing directly from Westwood’s historical references. The engineering of these bridal corsets upholds the tradition of figure-enhancing tailoring—offering brides gowns with strong shapes, visible boning, and artful draping, often paired with luxurious satin, lace, or tulle.
Wedding gowns such as Nova Cora, Nova Camille and the Vixen corset by Vivienne Westwood are the perfect example of the artisanal corsetry.
SUSTAINABILITY — THE INHERENT TRAIT OF VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
Vivienne Westwood’s sustainability values are deeply embedded in her brand, focusing on reducing fashion’s environmental impact, promoting ethical production, and encouraging conscious consumer habits. In her bridal line, these values are evident in both design and production methods.
Vivienne Westwood’s bridal collections reflect these values through sustainable fabric choices and conscious construction. Many gowns are crafted from responsibly sourced silk, organic or recycled textiles, and are produced using eco-friendly dyeing and processing techniques. The line supports small-scale, artisan production to reduce environmental impact and to maintain transparency in the supply chain.
Every single garment from the bridal collection is produced in the UK by local artisans.
For example, the Galaxy Cape wedding dress by Vivienne Westwood is made of crepe satin, which contains 73% acetate and 27% viscose, both sourced through forestry guidelines that are environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable. This includes principles and criteria on forest management practices, respect for indigenous peoples' rights, workers' rights and local communities, environmental impacts and legal compliance. Organic fibres are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides and GMOs.
